Crypto-assets are volatile: their price can fall as fast as it rises, and you can lose all the money you put in. They are not covered by any deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme. Read the crypto risk disclosure before you buy.
Read this before you buy a crypto-asset. It describes the main risks; it is not advice, and it cannot list every risk.
The main risks
- You can lose all of it
- A crypto-asset can lose most or all of its value, quickly and without warning. Put in only money you can afford to lose.
- Prices move sharply
- Prices can change by large amounts within minutes, at any hour, and the price when your order completes may differ from the price you saw.
- No protection scheme
- Crypto-assets are not covered by any deposit guarantee scheme or investor compensation scheme.
- You may not be able to sell when you want
- In a fast or thin market, selling may take longer or happen at a worse price, and trading may be suspended.
- Technology and custody
- Crypto-assets depend on networks and software that can fail, be attacked or change their rules. A transfer on a network usually cannot be reversed.
- Rules change
- Laws on crypto-assets are changing and differ between countries; a change may affect what you can do with them and their value.
- Tax
- Buying, selling or exchanging crypto-assets may have tax consequences where you live. You are responsible for your tax.
- Scams
- Nobody from Fidorox will ever contact you to recommend a crypto-asset, promise a return or ask you to move crypto-assets. Anyone who does is not us.
What we do and do not do
- We offer a short list of established crypto-assets after our own review, and we never promote one.
- We do not give investment advice, and nothing we say is a recommendation to buy or sell.
- We show the fee for every order before you confirm it.
For each crypto-asset we offer, its white paper is linked from the app, as the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation requires.
